GAY Rapper Young Fly Red Clear Rumors About Young Money Deal

Despite several pickups in the news cycle, Young Money Entertainment has not signed openly gay rapper to a label deal, the "Throw That Boy P---y" spitter tweeted.

"These rumors are awesome!!!" Red wrote last Thursday (April 3), dropping in a link to one of the stories, which came complete with "quotes" from Lil Wayne and Birdman. "I told yall this was a rumor!! Im not YMCMB," he added just yesterday, this time with a link to further confirmation from YMCMB President Mack Maine"No, not at all," Maine said to XXL magazine, when asked if the label had recruited Red to the roster. He took to Twitter to clarify as well. "I don't know if this is a publicity stunt but we (YMCMB) haven't signed any new artist recently....Love," Maine wrote.

Prior to the false connection to Weezy, Nicki Minaj andDrake, Red was building momentum on his own. "My song ['Throw That Boy P---y'] is very popular in the gay clubs," he told the Huffington Post.

He added, "Yes, I do consider myself as a queer artist. My identity impacts my music a lot. When I was 16 I started to gain notoriety for my rap and I started rapping with a rap group and they wanted to sign me. At this point in my life I also started to realize I was gay. So, I'm rapping about females and hanging out with my straight group with a reputation that they worked hard for. I didn't feel comfortable. I was living a lie. Why would I wait until someone outed me, have a chance of losing my rap career and messing up the reputation of these people who had nothing to do with what I was going through? So I quit. ... As time passed and I got more comfortable with my sexuality, I realized that the only thing that was in my way was me."
