Williams’ evangelical sermon where she proclaimed that gays and lesbians need to be saved was “not shown in its entirety,” but she has still apologized for the contents.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star expresses her remorse for the speech caught on tape she gave at the High Praise Christian Center Ministries in George a few years ago.
“I woke up this morning disturbed and I felt that my heart was heavy and it was imperative for me to address the issue at hand,” the reality show star says.
“First let me say that God loves all of his children and although some people discriminate against othersbecause of their race, their religion, their sexual orientation, their status in life, that we’re all worthy of God’s love.”
Fresh off her arrest following the brawl with Kenya Moore on the RHOA reunion, Williams defends her speech and says that it was not the entire message she was putting out.
“The sermon that was shown was shown not in its entirety. Therefore the message was omitted.”
However, she contritely asked for forgiveness, saying: “I apologize that those words hurt the LGBT community, my fans and my supporters. Life is a journey and I’m growing every day and I continue to encourage everyone to love each other unconditionally.”
Was her apology done only for good faith or what? ?
