EMPIRE On FOX Shoot To Another High Ratings !

Fox’s Empire this Wednesday night inched up 5 percent and two tenths to draw 12 million total viewers and a 4.8 demo rating (per finals).

That marks the already renewed freshman hit’s five straight week of audience growth, coming out of a strong launch.

Paula Abdul & Jason Derulo Will Be Joinging The Judging Table At FOX's So You Think You Can Dance!

Fox has made it official,confirming our scoop that Paula Abdul would be joining veteran summer reality competition series So You Think You Can Dance as a new judge. She will be one of two new judges on the show next season, along with singer-songwriter-dancerJason Derulo. They will join co-creator/executive producer Nigel Lythgoe at the judges table. Also returning for Season 12 of SYTYCD —  which will feature a new twist in the competition: stage dancers vs. street dancers — is host Cat Deeley.

“With the new and exciting format comes a new and exciting panel of judges,” said Lythgoe. “Paula is an incredible artist, and she brings the perfect combination of expertise and heart to the panel. Jason’s insight, humor and creativity will add a new perspective to the panel that we haven’t had before.”

Fox’s Empire continues to reign, delivering this Wednesday night 11 million total viewers and a 4.4 rating (per finals), rising (7 and 10 percent) for a second consecutive week and easily topping the night in the demography.

EMPIRE on Fox Pull Big Numbers, A Hit For Network!

According to reports, including those from The Hollywood Reporter and Shadow And Act, it was the top rated show of the evening. Not only that, but it wound up being FOX’s biggest debut for a new show in three years. Considering a lot of the shows on that channel are here one day and then gone the next, that’s a pretty big deal…

According to The Hollywood Reporter, and Nielsen ratings, in the key 18-49 demographic, “Empire” pulled in a 3.8 rating, and overall, averaged 9.9 million viewers for the night. Next to ABC’s “How To Get Away With Murder,” “Empire” is reportedly the top launch of the 2014-2015 television season, and brought in numbers for the night that in the 18-49 category, beat out the likes of “Modern Family,” “Blackish” !
