According to AlwaysAList.com, the series has been canceled. The Divas have been in danger of not returning to the screen since this fall. But the matter became official when the network’s president Brad Siegel attended a press tour last week at the Television Critics Association in Los Angeles.
During the event, Siegel did not present “R&B Divas Atlanta” as one of the network’s returning series.
AlwaysAList also reported that cast members received notification this week that the show was canceled.
Sources close to the production told AlwaysAList that there were several reasons why the show, that once broke records for the network, ended.
There were apparently casting challenges, TV One wanted to decrease the production budget, and the network and the show’s executive producers–which at one point included Nicci Gilbert and Faith Evans– could not come to terms.
