Cissy Houston Speaks Out About Whitney's Biopic
According to ETOnline.com
The late Whitney Houston's family is not supporting Lifetime's highly anticipated biopic on the legendary singer.
On Tuesday, Whitney's mother Cissy Houston told ET exclusively that the family is "exhausted" by the "continuing misinformation and comments offered by people who did not know her," and pleaded with fans to "please let her rest."

"Lifetime has chosen to go ahead with the movie about Whitney in spite of my family's objections. No one connected with this movie knew Whitney or anything about her relationship with Bobby," she said in a statement to ET. "In the two years since Whitney's death, many people have stepped forward to speak about their close relationship with her. I find it difficult to believe people who knew and supposedly loved her would participate in a movie about her done by folks who didn't know her. We are exhausted by the continuing misinformation and comments offered by people who did not know her. Please please let her rest."
Well Cissy has spoke but that will not stop the biopic nonetheless. I want to see it and will be watching it.

Angela Bassett Set To Direct Whitney Houston Film For Lifetime
I'm kind of happy to hear the news today that Angela Bassett has signed on to direct a television movie about Whitney Houston and her relationship with Bobby Brown for Lifetime. The film, tentatively titledWhitney Houston, will span from the time they first met at the very height of their celebrity, to their courtship and tumultuous marriage.
Bassett, who co-starred with Houston in the 1995 film Waiting to Exhale, promises to avoid sensationalizing the late pop icon's tragic life. “I have such regard for both Whitney’s and Bobby’s amazing talents and accomplishments; and I feel a responsibility in the telling of their story,” said Bassett in a press release. “Their humanity and bond fascinates us all. I’m beyond excited to have this opportunity to go behind the camera and into their world.”
I hope this will be good.
