Universal Pictures have announced that the hit franchise will return to the big screen for a third outing in 2016.
Titled ‘The Best Man Wedding’, the movie will hit American theaters on April 15th 2016.
The film follows last year’s ‘The Best Man Holiday’, which grossed $70.5 million in the US. 1999′s original, ‘The Best Man’, grossed $35.1 million domestically.
Will the follow-up best the commercial performance of its predecessor? Time will tell.
But to increase its chances, the movie studio have re-tapped writer-director Malcolm D. Lee and have enlisted Sean Daniel to produce.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the entire cast will be back too. So, that’s Taye Diggs, Terrence Howard, Harold Perrineau,Morris Chestnut, Monica Calhoun, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Melissa De Sousa and Regina Hall.
