Ok! Columbus Short Has Booked A TV Gig!

Columbus Short has booked his first major TV role since exiting Scandal in April 2014. E! Online can exclusively reveal that Short has joined the cast of Fear Files, the second installment of TV One's original horror film franchise. In the short film Fear, which will premiere in Friday, March 13, Short will play City Councilman Harvey Jordan, whose plan to build a football stadium in a low income neighborhood causes friction to erupt within the community. And after a deadly fire removes the last resident standing in the way of his project, people begin to question if the death was an accident or a murder planned by the Councilman. While the truth begins to haunt Jordan, he must charm Kelisia Waters (Erica Hubbard), a determined reporter in order to sway the media attention away from him.

“Scandal” was in the midst of a mini casting scandal this week, when a report claimed that Columbus Short’s character, Harrison Wright, would be replaced by “World War Z” actor Eric West. Show creator Shonda Rhimes channeled her inner Olivia Pope and squashed the report, Tweeting, “I’ve never heard of Eric West. Harrison is not being recast EVER. How about reporters CHECK THEIR SOURCES before running with a story?”

CONFIRMED! Bye, Bye Harrison Aka Columbus Short As He Exits SCANDAL

Columbus Short will NOT be returning to "Scandal" -- and sources connected with ABC says it's because

the network decided to give him the axe over allegations of domestic violence.

Columbus just released this statement:  "At this time I must confirm my exit from a show I've called home for 3 years, with what is the most talented ensemble in television today."

Short goes on: "Everything must come to an end and unfortunately the time has come for Harrison Wright to exit the canvas.  I wish nothing but the best for Shonda, Kerry and the rest of the cast..."

Short story ... it would appear Harrison ate the bullet that was aimed at him in the season finale.

Oh well he will be ok, even the show is the number #1 at this time on tv, this wont stop him from working despite his current scandalous issues....

Scandal Star Columbus Short Will Settle Bar Brawl Outside of Court

His alleged bar fight victim has refused to press charges because of family ties.

The victim’s lawyer tells TMZ, he’s been in contact with Columbus’ management to come to some sort of settlement without involving police. We’re told the victim has made it clear to investigators he doesn’t want the case pursued criminally.

The reason … the lawyer tells us both men are tight with the same people — the alleged fight went down at a family member’s engagement party — so the victim wants to resolve this as amicably as possible.

If they end up settling, Short could end up paying a boatload in medical expenses — we’re told the victim suffered a facial fracture and a massive concussion from Short’s punch, as well as serious neck and back injuries.

This will turn out to be an expensive lesson for Columbus, but hopefully he heeds Shonda Rhimes’s advice and gets his act together before something even worse happens.
