Fire Island Black Out Is Relocating to Atlantic City 2015

Fire Island Black Out (FIBO), the annual midsummer LGBT weekend party in the iconic Long Island seashore resort, is moving to a new home this year. Philadelphia attorney James Wellons, CEO of the FIBO organization, announced today that his event would be relocating to Atlantic City, New Jersey, after FIBO 2014 was cancelled last spring. “The move will allow more people to attend our signature event,” says Wellons, “and while we are sad to leave Fire Island, our home of nearly 12 years, we view this move as an evolution in our event.”

FIBO executives “received a warm welcome” from Atlantic City officials last year, and talks with various municipal agencies led to the decision to relocate FIBO. This year’s event, entitled “FIBO-Atlantic City” is scheduled for August 7-9, and “will provide an array of entertainment options for our guests”, says FIBO Vice-President Chris Alston.

Michael Sam, 1st Openly Gay Athlete Gets Cut From St. Louis Rams Final Roster

Michael Sam, the first openly gay athlete drafted into the NFL, was cut by the St. Louis Rams as the team trimmed its roster ahead of the start of the 2014 season, according to multiple reports. The news emerged on Saturday shortly before the NFL's 4 p.m. ET deadline to finalize rosters and trim them down to 53 players.

At a press conference following the announcement, Rams Head Coach Jeff Fisher said that Sam was notified of his release on Saturday, who replied "Thanks for the opportunity." Fisher said the decision to release Sam was "a football decision," and, "I was pulling for him, but it didn't work out." Asked about how Sam's time with the Rams was, Fisher said, "There was no distraction. Mike fit in very, very well. He was fun to be around. No issues."

Atleast he still made history, so congrats to him and hope others will step out and say it and be proud of what they are.

R.Kelly and Drea Kelly's Child Jay Comes Out As Transgender Male.

R.Kelly and Drea ay, a transgender male. Jay recently cusame out on Instagram publicly but says he has identified as male since he was six or seven years old.

As of about three months ago, Jay said his father is unaware of his transition and new identity but shared that his mother, “Hollywood Exes” star, Drea Kelly has been extremely supportive.

In Touch Weekly reports thaty she said, “‘Baby, you know I love you if you were bi, gay, you name it and I would still love you so much.’” For those who don’t know Ask.fm is a social media site where users can submit and answer questions from anyone with a profile. - Jay continued saying, “She was very proud of me, I was like ‘Thank you mum for accepting the fact that I’m transgender.’”

Jay says his sister had a similar response. “And the same with my sister, she told me that she was proud of me, and respects me by calling me handsome and calling me her little brother now, and I love her for that, so you know it was great for me.”

Jay got very personal sharing that he still has female organs and wears a binger on his chest but hopes to have surgery one day and start taking testosterone so he can become more comfortable in his skin.

He says, “I believe I am a boy and want surgery, and the medication to help me [become] who I was supposed to be.”

I so much love this story.. People who are also famous also experience same things just like us regular people.

It was very bold of him to come out and nice to see the support of his mom, Drea and sister.

In a Dec. 29 Facebook post in which she recounted everything she’s thankful for, the Good Morning America host thanked her “long time girlfriend, Amber,” admitting for the first time that she is gay.

Her brave post mostly centered around her gratefulness for having overcome cancer, but the mention of her girlfriend was beautifully and delicately slipped in.

Her note read:Flashback 12/29/12….Hard to believe this was 1 year ago today..when I reached a critical milestone of 100 days post transplant…and KJ was finally allowed to come back home.

Reading this comforts me and I hope the same for you: “If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. Perez Hilton is slated to star in a new reality TV series that focuses on fatherhood among gay men that live in New York City.Titled "Gay Dads Of New York," the show plans to follow Hilton and a group of other gay dads, both single and married, as they navigate the rewards and challenges of raising a child as gay men in NYC.

"What is your typical American family like? These days, it looks a lot like mine," Hilton said in a statement. "I am honored and excited to bring to television a show that will be filled with love, humor and drama. What will it not be? Trashy or boring! I am thrilled to have partnered with the leaders and innovators of reality television, Bunim/Murray, to create a program that is compelling and real."

This afternoon, Raven Symoné confirmed she is a proud a member of the LGBT community by tweeting, "I can finally get married! Yay government! So proud of you." Symone is referring to the Supreme Court overturning the Defense of Marriage Act back in June. 

There have been rumors about the former Cosby kid's sexuality for sometime. Last year, the National Inquirer published a story that she was a lesbian and living with her girlfriend AzMarie Livingston. In May of 2012 the That's So Raven star tweeted, "I'm living my personal life the way I'm happiest. I'm not one… to disclose who I'm dating. And I shall not start now. My sexual orientation is mine, and the person I'm dating, to know."
