On Monday (Dec 9) Internet went into a frenzy after reports of La Toya Jackson and Jeffre Phillips getting married. According to multiple sources, the couple tied the know on December 6, in Los Angeles, and they were joined by her mother Katherine Jackson and nephew Prince.

In a statement to Entertainment Tonight: “The rumors that La Toya Jackson married her longtime business partner Jeffre Phillips are completely false,” they said. “The reporting outlet should be embarrassed for their mistake and at least make an effort to find facts to back up their story before reporting.”
And in case the statement isn’t proof enough, La Toya also cleared the air via her Twitter.
