Aretha Franklin stole the entire night away from the Kennedy
Center Honorees when she brought the house down during a burning rendition of
Carole King’s “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.” The song, written by
King but made world famous by Franklin ,
had a particularly strong affect on President Barack Obama. As if that wasn’t
enough to wow the audience, Aretha reminded everyone why she’s the Queen of
Soul when she regally removed the coat during one of the song’s crescendos.
